Snakes, my wife used to have one and I hated it but whenever i had a few to drink I would have enough courage to take it out of the tank and mess around with it. It was a Ball python about 5 ft long

Heights. I cannot get more than three steps up a ladder. I do not like going up those stairs that you can see between the risers, and you would never get me into a glass elevator.

I saw a picture of that new observation platform over the Grand Canyon and thought no way you would get me out there!

 

I'm not a big height fan either, but I will go up bleachers and in glass elevators........As far as that observation stand over the Grand Canyon, no way at all will I do that......I'm going to Arizona and I will skip that, plus it's fifty dollars.......Too much money just to look into a huge hole so I'll pass......

 

ok...i have a stupid fear, i suppose you could call it that, it's a bit complicated tho

like for example there's this really, really shitty bridge that trolleys go over near my house, I've ssen people walk across it a million times but it's just so damn unstable that I always thik I'm gonna fall cus one of the little plastic things that are the only thing seperating me and the creek with huge ass rocks is gonna come loose

 

SPIDERS... you should realize one or more is probably watching you right now, with its 20-30 eyes, wondering if your body fluids are nutritional, whether it should drop on down on you now, or sneak into your bed and wait under your covers for you. When i was a little bitty kid we lived in el paso and i climbed into bed and a scorpion stung me on the toe, but i don't have a memory of it.

and sometimes,

large sharks... but only when i am actually swimming in the ocean in real deep water, which isn't real often... cozumel, coral sea for ex. Otherwise i find them fascinating and tasty. On the Discovery channel, i watched a guy swimming out among several great white sharks. I would like to be in a cage underwater and watch them. But I would completely shit myself if i saw one swimming toward me while snorkling. Tiger sharks! Bite first... ask questions later... worse than white sharks which are kinda shy in comparison.

When i go repelling i have trouble with the heights, and have to convince mysef to back-up over the edge of the cliff, my hands filling my gloves with sweat, my voice gets shaky, but i eventually relax and bounce on down, and i have done this again and again. Being close to the edge of the cliff without a rope attached to me is even worse... but still irrational.

If I can do anything to ease your mind, take heed. I have died, I have gone into the white reception area (no one is there but you, though), then when YOU are ready, you can move to the visible portal to the other world. Once in the reception area, which is an instantaneous transition like teleportation from here to there, you feel freedom and exhilaration. No one that has written about having experienced it has said they WANTED to come back, including yours truly. But I set myself up to come back, a long story.
The only pain you would experience is if you are injured before dying. Death is a totally painless thing. I felt fine just before, and during, and also after returning.

Everyone that has ever experienced it is NEVER afraid of dying again. You are still you, even though you may make yourself look like anything you like. I was a ball of energy, but knew I could change it. And also you actually KNOW everything, not just think or believe something, but you KNOW it.
